Develop the knowledge and skills to work and interact directly with children on a day to day basis & support the planning and delivery of activities.
In their daily work, an employee in this occupation interacts with parents, children, colleagues and wider multi agency professionals and partners such as health visitors, social workers and speech and language therapists. Individuals will undergo all checks as per the EYFS requirements to ensure suitability to work with children. Due to the nature and level of responsibility it is not anticipated that the role would have any budgetary or leadership responsibilities.
Levy businesses can use their contributions to pay for this training. The costs will be £4,000.
Non-levy paying business may not incur a cost for this training. If the employee on this programme is under 19 years of age and your business has less than 50 employees, there will be no cost for the training.
If the learner is over 19 years of age and/or your business has over 50 employees then you will contribute 5% towards the cost of the training, which would be £200 for this programme.
This programme is delivered through a combination of online and face-to-face (blended) learning to provide your business and employees with the greatest degree of flexibility – maintaining productivity while increasing capability.
For this programme we recommend opting for a digital delivery model where possible for convenience, reduction in commute times and lessening carbon footprints.
20% of training for this programme will take place outside of the workplace in the form of workshops, tutorial sessions and one-to-one mentorship meetings.

This qualification is recognised through the Northern Council for Further Education, commonly known as NCFE and the Council for Awards in Care, Health and Education or CACHE.
A dedicated tutor will support learners and employers throughout the programme from the very first step through to their “End Point Assessment” or EPA.
Workshops and assignments are used to give learners the opportunity to get to hands-on experience grips with new skills and approaches outlined in the programme syllabus.
Our tutors will conscientiously arrange training around the requirements of both learners and employers.
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed to provide employers with fresh talent whilst giving employees the knowledge and skills needed to excel in their roles.
Apprenticeships are for existing staff and for new recruits – not just for younger school leavers.
Through a combination of on-the-job and off-the-job training, learners will continue to work and earn a living while applying higher level techniques to their roles, increasing productivity and competence.
