The scheme, funded by the Department for Health and Social Care in partnership with Health Education England, aims to support young jobseekers aged 16 to 30 into jobs in the health and social care sector.

GUARANTEED INTERVIEW FOR AN APPRENTICESHIP OR FULL-TIME JOB

During the five-week programme, young people will learn about the range of service provision and roles within the health and social care sector as well as developing vital employability skills and gaining first-hand experience of working in a health and social care setting. They are also guaranteed an interview for an apprenticeship, or a full-time job.

Helping the local community

Locally based employers such as the NHS, healthcare organisations and social care providers will benefit by getting an ongoing supply of ‘work ready’ young people ready to fill job vacancies; an enthusiastic young workforce ready to progress through the ranks of social care.
